Playing at Old Trafford Manchester United surrendered to West Ham United by 0-1. The only goal for the Hammers was scored by Manuel Lanzini in the 9th minute.
Since the first half whistle sounded Manchester United so
dominated the game.
Unfortunately, the pressure that was intensified by Ole
Gunnar Solskjaer's foster children did not lead to goals at the beginning of
the match.
On the other hand, West Ham was able to break into the MU goal which was guarded by Henderson, Manuel Lanzini scored a goal in the 9th minute after getting Ryan Fredericks' pass, and the score was 1-0 up. Left behind MU increasingly dominates the game.
But unfortunately, until the referee blew the first half
whistle the score was still 0-1.
In the second half, Manchester United play an attacking game
to level the game but,
West Ham's tight
defense made it difficult for United to score the equalizer.
In the 63rd minute, Manchester United got a golden opportunity from Mason Greenwood who was in shooting range after receiving Donny van de Beek's pass. Unfortunately, his shot can still be stopped well by Alphonse Areola.
Another threat from Manchester United, in the 81st minute,
the Red Devils stormed the West Ham defense on the counter-attack.
The ball ended up at the feet of Mason Greenwood who did not
hesitate to open a shot, fortunately, Areola blocked.
In the remaining time, MU was unable to equalize. Until finally the referee blew the whistle signal the end of the match the 0-1 lead score for West Ham did not change.

Solskjaer said after the game: "The first 10 mins we were slow both in and out of poss which are some things we've to deal with. I wasn't pleased in the beginning, no, but we will not find ourselves in these situations and expect to urge wins, we need to start out games better."
